Wireless communication networks have achieved incredible newlinesuccess in today s communication market by attaining communication newlineservices on the move Provision of increased efficiency and performance is newlinethe ultimate goal of development in all wireless technologies One such newlinepromising technology is Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access newline WiMAX which has carved out a special niche for itself in the internet arena newlinewith its substantial bandwidth and high speed over large distances Therefore newlinethe impediments that stand in the way of the onward march of the WiMAX newlineneed to be concentrated with sincere and serious attention A crucial challenge newlinefaced by mobile WiMAX is the security which requires the need for newlineauthentication of users to avoid security threats and thus plays a vital role in newlinesecuring the handoff process But it increases the handoff delay which is yet newlineanother key factor in many researches Handoff delay reduction and security newlineenhancement is an oxymoron in any wireless technology Equalizing their newlinesignificance an adaptation is required to reduce the authentication cost newlinewithout compromising security measures With this motive proposed work is newlinededicated as two folds in the fields of WiMAX security enhancement and newlineseamless handoff newline newlineen_US
