Abstract: | The development of underwater wireless sensor networks (UWSNs) has drawn substantial attention of many researchers from the industry and academics to sense and monitor the enormous unexplored underwater domain. Almost 70% of earth surface is covered by water, this underwater network of sensors can discover the ability to visualize the ocean behavior. Despite the remarkably influence of oceans on global living organisms, it is considered that 95% of its capacity remains unknown by human eyes. This problem can be solved by real-time information retrieval to humans. The information retrieval is done using wireless data transmission instead of wired transmission in underwater sensor network, which works as an ocean observation system because of deployment cost and reachability. Moreover, real-time information transmission can be achieved through efficient and enabling technologies for node deployment and data collection in UWSN. The sensed data is collected from different monitoring areas used in many applications, and the contentment of this apparition depends on proficient and reliable ocean monitoring. In this thesis, the enabling technologies of UWSN along with several fundamental key aspects is scrupulously explained. This thesis aims to provide effective node deployment and efficient data collection strategies. newline |
