A study on work life balance of doctors with reference to multi specialty hospitals in Bengaluru city

Abstract

Doctors quality of life depends on job satisfaction because they spend one-third or more of the day at work. Indeed, doctors will be happier in their jobs if they have positive work experiences or are fulfilled by their work. The quality of work-life balance significantly impacts the employee s sense of well-being at work. Therefore, this study is essential in enhancing doctor-related issues from the doctor s perspective. The descriptive research study involves surveys and fact-finding inquiries that assist researchers in characterizing the current situation, examining doctors work-life balance, and aid achieve the goal. The research was conducted in Bengaluru City s multi-specialty hospitals in Karnataka, India. More than 800 doctors in Bengaluru City, Karnataka, India, participated in this study, with a population of 864. The stratified random sampling approach is employed. There is a 5-percent margin error in the study s sample size and a 95 percent confidence. The 95 percent confidence level, the 864-population size, and the sample size of 266 respondents were employed by the researchers in this study. The primary data for this study will be collected through a standardized questionnaire. The research journals were used to gather secondary data. Descriptive analysis, Friedman ANOVA Test, Chi-square test, MANOVA, Independent Samples T Test, and Discriminant Function Analysis were used to analyze the data in this research.
