dc.description.abstractnewline Cross cultural difference is one of the major aspects which directly affect the acculturation aspects. The various newlineaspects related to cross cultural differences like Self esteem, Spirituality, moral values, parent child relationship newlineetc are linked with acculturation of the second generation Indian Americans. These areas of culture are more newlineimportant as it influences the people at a greater level. As the cultural aspects of the individual help for the newlinedevelopment of acculturation among the individuals, the study of cross cultural differences and acculturation newlineaspects is significant. If the second generation Indian Americans of today assimilate proper cultural models, if newlinethey have favorable acculturation, they can be free from many of the problems which creates turbulents in newlinetheir social living. The present study analyzed cross cultural differences and acculturation aspects of second newlinegeneration Indian Americans. newlineThe present study used Scale of Cross Cultural Differences and Scale of Acculturation aspects to collect the newlinenecessary data. The study was a descriptive and survey type of study with cross cultural difference as newlineindependent variable and acculturation aspects as the dependent variable. The study was conducted on a sample newlineof 400 people in which 200 were second generation Indian Americans and 200 were the Indian counterparts. newlineThe major findings of the study were, there is significant difference in male and female second generation Indian newlineAmericans in all the dimensions of Cross cultural differences and in overall cross cultural differences. Cross newlinecultural difference of second generation Indian American male is more than the second generation Indian newlineAmerican female in all the dimensions of Cross cultural differences except spirituality dimension. There is newlinesignificant difference in male and female second generation Indian Americans in all the dimensions of newlineacculturation aspects and in overall acculturation aspects.
