To improve the lifespan and performance of the products developed in this modern world which are used in the field of both engineering and medical applications requires a higher level of surface finish with close tolerance. Surface finish characteristics like roughness play a vital role in improving the material properties such as wear, endurance limit, and corrosion rate, etc. Traditional machining processes such as grinding and lapping found it challenging to generate required cutting energy to achieve the required nano level of surface finish. newlineOne of the advanced finishing processes found to fulfill the required demands is Rotational magnetorheological abrasive flow finishing process (R-MRAFF). The metal removal process was carried out by using a smart fluid-like magnetorheological polishing fluid (MRP). The rheological behavior of MRP fluid can be effectively controlled by an external magnetic field. The uniformity of surface finish across the workpiece is obtained by the combined effect of rotary and reciprocating motions provide to the abrasives particles dispersed in the MRP fluid. Biocompatibility refers to the ability of the implants to perform their expected functions in a host medium such as bodily fluids without causing any adverse effects. To improve the biocompatibility properties like wettability, corrosion resistance, and hemocompatibility on the implant material like AISI Stainless steel 316L (SS 316L), Titanium alloys, and Co-Cr alloys etc., requires a precise surface finish newline newline newline newline
