Abstract: | newline It is well known that agriculture is one of the indispensable sectors in India and Information newlineCommunication Technology can revolutionize agriculture in many ways. Deployment of ICTs newlineneeds to be stressed more. ICT for agriculture needs to be compared andevaluated precisely. newlineHere, present study aimed that an analysis of adoption behaviour of farmers using ICT newline(Electronic media) in perception, knowledge and finally developing favourable attitude leading newlineto more for decision for using ICT specially electronic media used by the farmers for adopting newlinedifferent improved agricultural technology. The information provided by electronic media as a newlinesource of reliable and timely need based information to adopt an improved technology about newlinebest production practices and other allied aspects. The present study was carried out in Prayagraj newlinedistrict of Uttar Pradesh state covering two blocks, 30 villages and 300 farmers as respondents newlinepurpopsively and simple random method. Face to face personal interview method was followed newlineto collect data from the respondents. The collected data were processed, analysed with the help newlineof descriptive and inferential statistics tests. The results showed that the socio-economic newlinebackground of the respondents were low to medium level. The agricultural practices adopted by newlinerespondents through different sources of information mere medium level. The levels of newlineknowledge of respondents toward the different improved agricultural technology transferred by newlinedifferent electronic media were found medium level. The sampled represents attitudes towards newlinethe different improved agricultural technology programme transferred by different electronic newlinemedia were found to be favourable among the respondents. Respondents education, family type, newlineannual income, mass media exposure, land holding, economic motivation, scientific motivation newlineand risk orientation were found significant association with using ICT.
