Abstract: In Geographic Information Systems, traditional 2D map expression has gradually given way to 3D GIS. The merging of visual approaches and GIS is a multidisciplinary and leading-edge field that requires advancement in a variety of fields. This work discusses related theories, practical approach and algorithms for three-Dimensional visualizing of Digital Elevation Models (DEMs). The current research demonstrates algorithms for 3D visualization of slope maps, Aspect maps, Hillshed maps, and watershed map as well as their practical implementation in a real-world setting. Present work also demonstrates 3D Visualization application in Terrain modeling, Land use land cover planning, Geological mapping, Flood mapping, and Tsunami modeling. To prepare various 3D Visualization maps we used Shuttle Radar Topographic Mission (SRTM) DEM, Bathymetric data, and various Raster and vector data set is used. 30m spatial resolution SRTM DEM is downloaded from the USGS Earth explorer and used to prepare Slope, Aspect, Hillshed, Watershed, elevation map, and pre and post Flood map. Bathymetric data is downloaded from GEBCO website. Bathymetric data is used to prepare 3D Visualization of Tsunami maps. In terms of geographical perspectives, 3D visualization will most likely help the public in visualizing and understanding tsunami challenges. The visualization in 3D is a nice technique because it adds some realistic elements and makes it more engaging. Anyone can benefit from watching this tsunami disaster depiction. 3D Tsunami modeling can be a very useful tool for users to have a better understanding of tsunamis and to see how they can protect themselves from being killed by tsunami big waves. These maps can also, be used in urban planning, geologic analysis, hazard monitoring, natural resource research, and agricultural management etc newline
