Abstract: Subaranarekha basin is the land of aboriginal races, abundance of minerals and forest with rich Biodiversity. Abundance of natural resource has attracted the stokeholds to come here and use its resources, but hazardous, exploitation has given birth to many possible problems, like destruction, devastation, denudation, low breeding rate of animals, uncommon disease to plants, habitat loss and many more. The adivasis have been worst hit by the large-scale exploitation of the natural resource of the region through the development of industries, mines and commercial exploitation of the forest. This greed of luxury has distrusted the balance of ecology and emerge into ecological crisis. The land covers the south-eastern portion of the Jharkhand state. And holds the unique position on the map of India. newlineMost of the time we are not concern about things which affect our surrounding until it becomes threat to human lives. This problem of environmental degradation due to Deforestation and Mining are not only relate with physical surrounding but it directly affects the social and cultural life of Tribals who lives here from thousands of years. newlineAs we talk about the significance of the concern topic, this is very burning topic of today s world. Our survival depends on both physical and social environment and so for the people of Upper Subaranarekha Basin. If by the lust and greediness of luxury and comfort we spoil our ecosystem we too will not survive for the long time. Pollution, Climate change, infertility and many more problems are emerging in this region. newlineMany remote areas experiencing erosion, Due to Mining of radioactive elements locals are suffering, less forest cover has affected migration of wild animals, there are lots of subjects which are needed to study. And if we will not be alert today, we will not be able to preserve our heritage which is provided by the mother nature. newline newline
