Writing the Resistance Ngugi wa Thiongos Postcolonial Discourse

Abstract

The research work, titled quotWriting the Resistance: Ngugi wa Thiong o s Post-colonial Discoursequot, deals with the concept of resistance as reflected in the four major novels of Ngugi wa Thiong o. He has produced a vast body of resistance literature. He inherited the rich African literary tradition, both oral and written or orature to put in his own words. Ngugi believes in imagination, which is abundant in all his writings, both creative and critical. The same is conspicuous in his novels, plays and criticism in the 50 years. To define the concept of resistance in the fictional works of Ngugi and to study the articulation of the same in the light of Post-Colonial thought. It makes a textual analysis of select four novels. newline
