dc.description.abstractThe present study aims to find out the relationship among feedback, motivation and achievement in the area of language learning of elementary grade students of Vidisha district. The sample for the study was drawn from the students of classes six, seven and eight which comprises 440 students (222 boys and 218 girls) from five randomly selected schools (government and private). The selected schools were affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education and had English as medium of instruction. The collected data were analysed with the help of three different tools. Feedback and achievement in language learning were assessed by the tools (Feedback Scale and Achievement Tests) developed by the research scholar whereas level of motivation was assessed by a standardized tool Achievement Motivation Scale (AMS) . The result of the study showed that the feedback received and its influence on the students of classes sixth, seventh and eighth was more or less the same. The significant F ratio for the mean scores of motivation suggests that there exist variations among three groups. No significant difference was found with regard to gender when the mean scores of feedback and motivation were compared. The results also indicated that there exist a positive relationship among the three variables.
