Abstract: | Environment comprises of all our surroundings especially Environmental science and engineering deal with the water, air and soil sources in that environmental pollution concern with the sources of all kind of pollution and their effects on environment and the effects on all the living things and the methods to manage the situation and the effects of controlling the environmental pollution etc. In this present study, the work was conducted to apply waste management techniques to the treatment of waste water. Water is the elixir of all living things. It is necessary to save our water resources and also to treat the waste water for the reuse. When monsoon fails in a year, these types of water reuse technologies will give hand in managing the water problems. Due to population increase, there is a greater increase of all requirements for day to day life. Which in turn rises enormous range of industries like food industries, pharma industries and paint, textile, automobile industries etc., it leads to the pollution of the whole environment. There are several development of technologies in the treatment of water, air, soil pollutants. In this work, wastewater treatment along with solid waste management was carried out by the majorly applied method of adsorption by activated carbon. Adsorption is the most followed technique for the treatment of waste water, Adsorbents are different types, In that activated carbon (AC) is the primarily used. Commercially activated carbon is available but for the motivation of waste water treatment plant in economical way, there has been so many research works were done to prepare the activated carbon from the renewable and waste material sources. Such as various parts of the plants, Egg shell, Marine alge, peel of fruits nuts etc., in this work the starting material for the preparation of Activated carbon was selected in concern with minimization of the solid waste. The novelty of the work conducted was also maintained by this raw material selection. As mentioned earlier, industrializatio |
