Abstract: newline Dyslexia is one of some distinctive learning disabilities. It is a exact language-based disorder of constitutional origin characterised by difficulty in single word decoding, usually reflecting inadequate phonological processing. It is widely established to be a specific learning disability and has natural traits that distinguish it from other learning disabilities. Dyslexia is the most common definite learning disability and is estimated to affect from 3 to 20 % of the population around the world. Computer technology is showing large potential for improving reading attainment, with promising approach for promote word recognition and vocabulary and knowledge development. The objective of the study was to i) To identify the dyslexics studying in standard IX ii) To find out the significant difference, if any, in the pretest scores of the control and experimental groups iii) To find the significant difference, if any, in the posttest scores of the sample groups iv) To find out the significant difference, if any, in the gain scores of the sample groups v) To find out the significant difference, if any, in the scores of delayed posttests of the sample groups vi) To find out the significant difference, if any, in the pretest scores, posttest scores, gain scores and delayed posttest scores of the sample groups with regard to the learning objectives viz. knowledge, understanding, application and skill vii) To find out the significant difference, if any, in the pretest scores, posttest scores , gain scores and delayed posttest scores of the sample groups with regard to the demographic variables viz. gender, Locality of Residence, Type of Family, No. of Siblings and Interest in Sports viii)To find out the difference, if any, in the attitude of the experimental group before and after treatment. Pretest Posttest Equivalent Group Design was used for the study.
