Abstract: The Summary of the thesis has three parts: the details of chapter outline, conclusions newlineand suggestions. The details of chapter outline provide a quick view of the contents of newlinethe thesis. The conclusions have been presented based on the objectives of the study. newlineThe suggestions highlight the significant issues and give direction for further research. newline1. Details of Chapter Outline newlineThe present thesis consists of seven chapters. In the first chapter, Conceptual newlineFramework of the variables under study (Age, Personality, Occupational Commitment, newlineEmotional Labour) is discussed with their concepts, models and theories. Operational newlinedefinitions of the variables were also specified in this section. The later section of this newlinechapter discusses the rationale and highlights the need and significance of the present newlinestudy. Finally, the main research objectives of the study were outlined in the last section newlineof this chapter. newlineThe second chapter is Review of Literature where the available literature on Age, newlinePersonality, Occupational Commitment and Emotional Labor were reviewed to identify newlinethe research gaps. newlineThe chapter three discusses the research methodology adopted for the study in detail. In newlinethis chapter the research design for the study is outlined. For the study 2*2*2 research newlinedesign is adopted. Age is classified under two levels Young Adults (20-35) and Middle newlineaged (40-55). Personality is classified under Neurotic and Extraverts. Occupational newlineCommitment is differentiated into two levels high and low. The chapter further newlinediscusses the sampling design adopted for the study. Women professionals like nurses, newlineteachers, professors, engineers and managers were carefully chosen as the target newlinepopulation for the study. Random sampling was used to choose subjects (Nurses, newlineTeachers, Professors, Managers and Engineers) for this research.
