Abstract: | In the present scenario, pumps play a vital role in industrial newlineApplications Pump manufacturing companies invest around 15 to 20 of newlinetheir annual profits on their new design developments owing to the fact that newlinecustomers have ongoing demand for new products as well as improvements in newlinenew designs The design of mixed flow submersible pump has reached the newlinestage where improvements can only be achieved through a detailed newlineunderstanding of the internal flow behavior of the pump A very few research newlineworks are being conducted to study the internal flow behavior of the mixed newlineflow submersible pump A computational fluid dynamics CFD analysis has newlinebeen done systematically to predict the internal flow pattern for the complete newlineassembly of a mixed flow submersible pump newlineFurthermore the flow in hydraulic pumps shows unsteady behavior newlineespecially at off design conditions as a result of the interaction between the newlinebowl and impeller newline newline |
