Abstract: | The Optimal Power Flow OPF problem can be defined as meeting customer s energy needs with the minimum cost of energy production OPF has been widely used in power system and management which merely focuses on minimizing the smooth quadratic costs of real energy production particularly during the regularized system After restructuring the electricity markets possess new challenges to the solution of the OPF problem OPF is a tool which is used to minimize the power production cost by adjusting the power system control variables newlineThe main objectives of this research work are I To understand the concept of Particles Swarm Optimization PSO and Flexible AC Transmission Systems FACTS To find the optimal location of FACTS controller devices to achieve maximum system load ability in terms of avoidance of congestion providing secure transmission minimizing active power losses and To identify the best performance of FACTS controller device in system load ability newline newline |
