Abstract: Diversification is now became a matter of concern for the economic growth of the newlinecountry. Introductory concept on agricultural practices in the study area which includes the newlineplace of agriculture in Odisha economy structural change in Odisha and about the newlinecontribution of the sector to the state s GSDP. The research findings of earlier researchers newlineon the concepts like Crop diversification, Agricultural policy, Factors lead to agricultural newlinegrowth, Impact on the socio-economic life , Tribal life and livelihood, Role of finance, newlineAgricultural growth and environment, Agriculture and food security, Agriculture and newlinereforms, Agriculture and sustainable livelihood. The concepts of diversification, it s types newlineand importance. The profile of the South Odisha in general and field area for this thesis newlinework in particular and again explains geography, demography, infrastructure and newlineeconomic life for Koraput district of South Odisha and explained detailed literature for our study areas, like work profile, social setup, festivals, tobacco and wine habits of tribal people in our study area. Interestingly, one may find out few things like human labor exchange rather than money, or shift cultivation for millets, that was prevailed in these newlineregions until lately. The result of this study is broadly divided in three sections, as having newlinedifferent aspects of outcome of the data analysis. In the first sub section, impact of crop newlinediversification on tribal farming; was taken crop diversification index as independent newlinevariable and income of tribal farmers as dependent variable. Using simple liner regression newlineformalism, regression coefficients calculated for all the areas taken. It was observed a newlinemixed result. The second subsection, discusses the factors affect crop diversification in the newlinestudy area. It was investigated rainfall, use of fertilizer, irrigation facility to construct a newlinemultiple regression with crop diversification index.
