| Abstract: | Impact of dividend policy on market valuation of a firm has been a topic of research for last many decades and still no consensus has been reached regarding the relevance or irrelevance of payout policy on market price of newlineshares of a company. Payout policy decides the amount of profit to be distributed and/or to be retained. Automobile industry of India happens to be the engine of growth.
