dc.description.abstract | We have investigated the effect of variation of nuclear surface diffuseness and central depression parameter individually as well as simultaneously on survival probability, Coulomb excitation cross section and absorption effects. The individual as well as simultaneous variation of surface diffuseness and central depression have been found to be affecting all the above mentioned quantities significantly although to a varying extent. In addition, we have investigated the effect of model dependent Fermi matter density distribution and model independent D1S distribution in estimating the above mentioned quantities. Further, the sensitivity of nuclear potential in determining the minimum value of impact parameter has also been investigated and it is found that replacing the single folded potential by double folded potential does not affect the scheme used to decide the minimum value of impact parameter. newline | |
