Abstract: newline A Times of India report in May 2015 that alcohol consumption in India has newlinerisen by 55% over a period of 20 years. More worryingly, the young are getting newlineinitiated to alcohol much earlier. The present study aims to compare the perception newlineabout Alcohol intake Among Undergraduate Students from Medical, Nursing and newlineparamedical Courses at Selected health facilities Of Pune city. The conceptual newlineframework adopted for the study was health belief model. Review of literature newlineenhanced the investigator to gather the information to support the study. The newlinepopulation of the present study comprised of undergraduate students from Medical, newlineNursing and paramedical Courses. Non-probability purposive sampling technique was newlineused for the groups. The sample consisted of 900 undergraduate students who fulfilled newlinethe sampling criteria of the study. In order to Assess the perception about Alcohol newlineintake Among Undergraduate Students from Medical, Nursing and paramedical newlineCourses, questionnaire of perception about alcohol intake and self-structure newlinequestionnaire of alcohol screening was used as data collection tool. The tool consisted newlineof three sections: Section1: Demographic data, Section2: alcohol screening newlinequestionnaire and Section 3: Self-report Questionnaire is used to assess perception newlineabout alcohol intake. The content validity of the tool was done after obtaining newlinesuggestions from 23 experts in the field of nursing, psychiatry, research, clinical newlinepsychologist and a statistician. Reliability of the tool was done by using Cronbach s newlineAlpha method and was found that the and#8215;r value for Self-report Questionnaire is used to newlineassess alcohol expectancy was 0.92 hence the tool was found reliable. The pilot newlinestudy was done on 100 samples to check the feasibility of the samples of the study newlinewas established. It was found that the tool had no major flaws and was used for the newlinefinal study.
