To evaluate the effectiveness of structured teaching programme regarding newlineweaning among the mothers of infants among selected community areas. newline3. To find out the association between posttest knowledge and practice and newlineselected demographic variables. newlineMethod: A Quantitative research design (Pre -experimental design) was used to newlineconduct the study among 100 mothers of infants who were selected by nonprobability sampling technique for the study. The data was collected through newlinestructured knowledge questionnaire, expressed check list to assess the knowledge and newlinepractice regarding weaning among mothers of infants. The study was conducted in newlineselected community areas of tohana in Fatehabad district of Haryana newlineThe data collected and analyzed on descriptive and inferential statistics. newlineResult: Result finding that 0.0% of mothers of infants have inadequate knowledge newlineafter post- test, 45% mothers have moderately adequate knowledge and 55% have newlineadequate knowledge regarding weaning. It is evidenced that structured teaching newlineprogramme improved the knowledge regarding weaning among mothers of infants. newlineThe paired test was worked out to the statistical significance among the pre and post newlinetest scores for knowledge. Invariably in all cases the test is significant at (plt0.05), newlineresearch hypothesis is accepted.
