Abstract: | Organizational have to continuously undergo changes due to internal factors newlinesuch as growth, acquisition, survival, sustainability, productivity, efficiency, newlineprofitability and external forces for change such as complex globalized newlinebusiness environment, economical changes, competition, technology. With the newlineaccelerated pace and complexity of changes in recent times, business leaders newlineand managers have to constantly manage change and are faced with the newlinechallenge of implementing change effectively. Change implementation studies newlinesuggest that internal communication and training and development practices newlineplay an important role in facilitating effective change implementation. Internal newlinecommunication and training and development practices are well explored newlineconcept in literature however; most studies in these areas are generic lacking newlineinsights on specific role played by these practices especially in the context of newlineimplementing change. Moreover most of the studies in these areas are in newlineWestern context. With fast emerging changes in Asian countries especially newlineIndia, studies in Eastern context can provide useful insights in the area of newlineinternal communication and training and development practices. newlineThis research study investigated the role of internal communication and newlinetraining and development practices in implementing change in three cases in newlineIndian manufacturing sector. Extant literature review suggested gaps in the newlinearea of internal communication and training and development practices newlineespecially in the context of Indian manufacturing sector. The study mainly newlinefocused on the studying and identifying various kinds of practices adopted newlineduring change implementation, exploring the role of internal communication newlineand training and development practices in implementing change and identifying how internal communication and training and development practices can be made more effective while implementing change. newline |
