Abstract: | Although naxalism is a major problem in India, but it is very notorious in Jharkhand. Naxalism derives its name from Naxalbari in West Bengal where the moment has its origin. Naxalites are considered as left redicals communists, supporter of Maoist political sentiment and its ideology. Naxalites operates mostly in the rural and adivasi area. Their operations are most prominent in Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Eastern Maharashtra, Telanegna region of Andhra Pradish and Western Odisha. Naxalites claim to represent the most oppressed people in India who are often left untouched by India s development and bypassed by electoral process. This work will be done with following aims. It will compare some psychological factors namely self confidence, emotional maturity, social adjustment, reaction to frustration, life satisfaction, self confidence of youths living in naxalite and non-naxalite area. 200 youths will be selected as sample through disproportionate stratified random sampling technique. The sample will be divided into eight sub - groups i.e. male matriculate naxalite area, male matriculate non naxalite area, male graduate naxalite prone area, male graduate non-naxalite prone area, female matriculate naxcalite prone area, non-naxalite prone area, female graduate naxalite prone area, non-naxalite prone area. Six tools Personal Data Sheet, Self Confidence Inventory, Emotional Maturity Scale, Social Adjustment Inventory, Reaction to Frustration Scale, Life Satisfaction Scale will be administered on them. These scales will be administered in two sessions. In session I, Personal Data Sheet, Self Confidence Inventory, Emotional Maturity scale will be administered, in session II, Social Adjustment Inventory, Life Satisfaction, Reaction to Frustration will be used. Data will be collected, tabulated, analysed with the help of N, Mean, SD, t-ratio and ANOVA. Graphical representation may be done for of clarity. |
