Mobile ad hoc network MANET is a collection of wireless mobile newlinenodes forming a temporary network without the aid of any established newlineinfrastructure or centralized administration In this environment it is newlinenecessary for a mobile node to depend on the aid of other nodes in forwarding newlinea packet to its destination due to its limited range of wireless transmission newlinepowers Due to this nature the network operations can be easily compromised newlineif preventive measures are not included into the basic network functions So newlineproviding privacy and security are essential components for routing process in newlineMANETs newlineMobile Internet protocol IP is a standard communication protocol newlineused to integrate MANET and Internet this increases the networking newlineflexibility and coverage of both the networks In addition it allows mobile newlinenodes to move from one network to another while maintaining a permanent IP newlineaddress However when connecting MANETs with the Internet newlineinteroperability and security becomes a crucial challenge Because ad hoc newlinerouting protocol is not capable to handle the routing across the boundary newlinebetween MANET and the Internet Therefore a trusted framework is needed newlinefor integrating MANET with Internet and to improve routing performance newline newlineen_US
