Abstract: | A growing number of innovative therapies have emerged in the field of wound newlinehealing. The delay in wound healing is due to various factors like infection, oxygenation, newlinestress, smoking, alcoholism, and obesity. Traditional wound dressing materials like cotton newlinegauze, bandages and plasters are not effective in enhancing wound healing due to various newlinereason like inadequate drug release, antimicrobial activity, adhesion to wound and poor newlinemechanical property. To overcome these challenges novel wound dressing materials are newlinedeveloped. The current work focus on fabrication of wound healing polymeric patch newlineincorporated with graphene oxide nanocomposite and curcumin. The use of polymeric newlinepatches for wound healing application outstand other materials like hydrogel, form or fibre newlinedue to its ease in sustained drug release, biocompatible, hemocompatible, anti-biofilm and newlineanti-bacterial activity. In the development of new wound care system, it is crucial to test its newlinebiocompatibility, antibacterial activity, and in vivo efficacy using a full-thickness skin newlinewound model newline |
