Abstract: Wound healing is considered as a major issue worldwide. Wound healing involves four important stages such as hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation and remodeling. The two types of wounds are acute and chronic wounds. Chronic wounds are caused due to microbial infections at wound site, diabetic ulcers, poor oxygenation and circulation of blood. Especially, diabetic wounds are a major challenge worldwide. Infections is the major concern in diabetic wound healing. It is mainly caused by bacterial resistance. It delays the healing process. In severe cases, it leads to amputation and death. Generally, nanomaterials with good antibacterial activity and less toxicity helps to fight infections. In order to overcome the above problem, in this work GO, GO/ZnO nanocomposite are synthesized. Graphene oxide (GO) is known for high surface to volume ratio, excellent surface functionality, antimicrobial property and low toxicity to human cells newline
