Abstract: Durability of the structures has always been the key factor for longer life as well as serviceability of concrete structures. This property can be improved drastically by the inclusion of corrosive resistant composites in concrete promoted by the use of Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer Rebars (GFRP). Usage of GFRP rebar proves to be a better alternative to conventional steel rebar because it possesses high tensile strength and better corrosion resistance properties. Failure of concrete structural elements is brittle and only little information is available with respect to GFRP reinforcement in concrete structures newline
