Abstract: The conventional grid is required to be upgraded to accommodate greater number of newlinerenewable resources to deliver the vision of One Sun One World One Grid proposed newlinein UN Climate Change Conference UK 2021. Microgrid is a leading-edge technology newlineto provide electrical supply of energy and it opens up the possibility of integrating newlinevarious number of distributed energy resources. It is an energy industry which is newlinegrowing linearly, and it shows remarkable potential to shift the remote generating newlinepower station to sophisticated control based localized distributed generation. Microgrid newlineis capable to operate independently, and this characteristic makes it resilient and newlineflexible which increases the competitiveness of the grid. Microgrid is an emerging newlinetechnology which is competent enough to provide low-cost and efficient clean energy. newlineDemand side management refers to the modification of the consumption time profile to newlinelower the peak demand condition occurring in the grid utility. There is a need to adopt newlinesmart technological devices to scale down the consumption and further, it would delay newlinethe reinforcement of transmission and distribution network which would be very newlinebeneficial for maintaining the healthy economics of the country. Our country India is newlinestriving towards becoming 5 trillion-dollar economy and for fulfilling this dream, the newlinepower and energy sector needs to be upgraded with latest technologies to support the newlinegrowing economy. The technological shift from Edison s incandescent light bulb to newlineLED bulb is an exceptional illustration of creating awareness among consumers to newlineadopt the smart devices to achieve demand side management. newline
