dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study was to find out relationship of selected physical, anthropometric, angular kinematical and linear kinematical variables with the performance of toe-touch skill in kabaddi. One hundred subjects (raiders) were selected from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Chandigarh for this study. The age of subjects was ranged between 18-25 years. Selected variables were measured by standardized equipments. Performance of subjects was measured by expert rating and inter-rater reliability was tested by using Cohen s Kappa inter-rater reliability test. Spearman rank correlation test was employed to find out correlation between independent and dependent variables. The results revealed that there was significant correlation of thigh girth, explosive strength, angle at leading leg ankle joint, distance between both feet during execution phase and center of gravity variable with the performance of toe-touch skill. Ordinal Logistic Regression was further employed to develop a model to predict toe-touch skill performance but developed model was not efficient. This study concluded that thigh girth, explosive strength, angle at leading leg ankle joint, distance between both feet during execution phase and center of gravity variables can positively impact toe-touch skill performance of raiders.
