Abstract: | newlineIn modern communications systems wireless communication is one newlineof the most vibrant area The main challenge in wireless communication is the newlinereliability Two aspects which are degrading the performance of wireless newlinecommunication are fading and interference Fading is the fundamental newlineproblem which will be challenging for researchers In order to reduce the newlineeffect of fading many techniques were followed The main method which newlinemitigates the effect of fading is diversity technique Instead of using single newlineantenna if multiple antennas are used at transmitter and receiver that is newlineknown as diversity technique newlineIn addition with the diversity some channel coding methods were newlinealso used to improve the reliability of the system The reliable coding newlinetechnique to implement the Multiple Input Multiple Output MIMO antenna newlinesystem was the space time coding technique In space time coding the input newlinebit stream was coded both in spatial domain and time domain By means of newlinespace time coding the multipath fading can be reduced The diversity gain can newlinebe increased by implementing the MIMO system very effectively newlineEffective implementation of MIMO can be accomplished by newlineOrthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing OFDM technique newlineImplementing MIMO through OFDM will yield less bandwidth requirement newlineFor broad band application the MIMO implemented through OFDM will be newlinevery effective newline newline |
