Abstract: | In the field of development and research, there is now a great interest on investigation and exploration of a special type of material known as multiferroics, which exhibits ferroelectricity and magnetism simultaneously in a single phase compound. Some materials that show ferroelectricity as well as ferromagnetic ordering in the same phase were found a few years after the discovery of ferroelectricity. The incomprehensible concept of multiferroics generates the requisition exposer of as-synthesized materials with clarification newlineof fascinating physics for recent technological and industrial applications. For more than the last decade, an environmental friendly lead-free multiferroic material of bismuth ferrite, has received a huge attention in a scientific community due to its great multiferroic properties and its potential novel device applications. Moreover, most of the rare earth elements had an attracted features in electronic industries due to their high dielectric permittivity and small dielectric loss. However, some of the rare earths does not show a proper ferromagnetic as well as ferroelectric features. From this point of view, we successfully synthesized and newlinecharacterized the ceramic series of [Bi(Fe1-xRx)O3 (R= Gd, Dy and Y; x = 0.05, 0.10, 0.15)] compounds and analyse the effect of their structural, dielectric, electrical, ferroelectric and magnetic properties of the said series of compound. However, Gd, Dy and Y modified bismuth ferrite develops a new group of materials having high Curie temperature and ferroelectric nature for advanced multifunctional device applications. |
