dc.description.abstractVarious types of stainless steel were classified on their crystalline newlinestructure with the addition of nickel content Super duplex stainless steel is newlineone of the categorized metals with a high resistance to pitting corrosion and newlineused in variety of industrial applications Turning of this material was done in newlinea medium machining process using CNMG uncoated cemented ceramic newlinecarbide inserts as cutting tool This turning process was conducted in three newlinedifferent cutting conditions of dry wet and gas cooled machining The newlinemachining process parameters like feed rate cutting speed and depth of cut newlinewere varied to determine the output response characteristics like surface newlineroughness tool flank wear average cutting zone temperature and cutting newlineforce acted along x axis newlineThe present research work approaches to optimization of turning newlineprocess parameters and the experiments were conducted according to newlineTaguchi s L18 orthogonal array The process parameters level was chosen newlinewithin the intervals recommended by the tool manufacturer and the newlineinvestigation of the present study newline newlineen_US
