Abstract: | newline Iron and Steel Industry is one of the basic industries of the country and plays a crucial role in the newlinedevelopment of the sustainable society. Durgapur Steel Plant is one of the integrated steel plants newlineof SAIL and it plays an important role in the industrial development of India. It is in this context newlineafter reviewing the literature of the effect of training on employee performance in different newlinesectors it was found that no significant studies are there to ascertain the effectiveness of training newlinein steel sector. The goal of this research is to provide support measures for the positive effects of newlineDSP training programmes. This advantage involves increased corporate success (vs. newlineeffectiveness, productivity and output) and additional incentives connected to employee newlineperformance explicitly or indirectly. Analysis and interpretation of data obtained are discussed in newlinedetail in the thesis. This examination will be of great help to: Durgapur Steel Plant: This research newlinecarried out a detailed study to find out which type of training and development is best suited in this newlineassociation so that employees can work in effective manner in Durgapur Steel Plant. This newlineresearch will help the employers to use the particular type of training and development to motivate newlinethe employees and this will also suggest the measures for improvement in methods of training and newlinedevelopment.This examination of work has uncovered the impact of training on employees newlineperformance in Durgapur Steel Plant. The study of the hypothesis shows the fact that all of the newlineassessed variables are optimistic correlated with the latent work related attitude of the staff at newlineDurgapur Steel Plant.
