Abstract: | With the emergence of Service Oriented Computing business newlineorganizations adopt new ways of carrying out businesses Web service newlinecomposition has become a promising approach to meet the user demands newlinewhenever a single service by itself cannot fulfill the needs A composite newlineservice comprising of several component services can be viewed as a newlineworkflow A composite service provider may implement only a few core newlinefunctionalities while outsourcing other functionalities Some of these newlinefunctionalities may be offered as composite services represented by a nested newlineworkflow Coordination and execution of such hierarchically composed newlineworkflows gains importance in business applications newlineIn view of frequent failures in the internet environment where the newlinecomposed services are executed reliability of execution must be ensured to newlineachieve consistent termination Existing web service transaction models do newlinenot consider interoperable transactions and lack the ability to create advanced newlinetransactional frameworks to orchestrate cross organizational heterogeneous newlinetransactions of collaborating business domains Existing transactional newlineframeworks for reliable execution of composite services consider only newlineretriable and compensatable services as well as their recovery newline |
