As can be seen from the preceding literature, various attempts have been undertaken in the recent past to examine bio-activity in novel molecular frameworks with little result. Medicinal chemists, on the other hand, have not shied away from further research due to a greater understanding of enzyme architectures and molecular targets. It is evident that a few targets are comparable to this condition, and novel molecules with efficacy for this disease may be produced. This is merely a first step in that direction. newlineIn present research work we have designed and synthesized the novel azoles with aryloxy and oximino functions making use of our developed methodology of the water mediated Mannichaldol-type adducts. The preliminary investigations of biological results revealed that, these compounds have potential as antileishmanial agents and has opened a new avenue for further exploration. newline
