dc.description.abstract | The removal of toxic pollutants from the environment as well as the production of green energy remains challenging for researchers. Solar light responsive photocatalyst for the complete removal of pollutants aroused great interest due to utilizing green and sustainable solar energy. Complete removal and (or) elimination of organic pollutants are very important as well as highly needed. Constructing and utilizing the effective heterostructure nano catalyst systems is a familiar possible route for the novel photocatalyst. This research thesis is having main approaches aiming to improve the photocatalytic organic pollutant removal properties of the catalyst through designing an heterostructure with appropriate band alignment. It will decrease the rate of charge carrier recombination due to interfacial charge transfer and increased surface area thereby enhancement in the photocatalytic activities.
