Abstract

The purpose of the present study was to Construction of Physical Fitness Norms newlinefor Tug of War Players. Total Four hundred (N=400), Male and Female Tug of War newlinePlayers subjects were selected, who participated in the All India interuniversity Tug newlineof War championship from their respective universities. 18 to 25 years of age group newlinewas selected to act as subjects. The purposive sampling technique was used to collect newlinethe Physical Fitness data from Tug of War Players. Following variables were chosen newlinefor this study 1) Muscular Strength, 2) Muscular Power 3) Muscular Endurance, 4) newlineRunning Speed, 5) Running Agility, 6) Jumping Ability, 7) Throwing Ability, 8) newlineFlexibility and 9) Balance. newlineMuscular Strength was measured by Handgrip Strength Test, Muscular Power was newlinemeasured by Vertical Jump Test, Muscular Endurance was measured by Pull-Up newlineTest, Running Speed was measured by20 Meter Dash, Running Agility was measured newlineby Illinois Agility Test, Jumping Ability was measured by Standing Long Jump Test, newlineThrowing Ability was measured by Overhead Medicine Ball Throw, Flexibility was newlinemeasured by Sit and Reach Flexibility Test, Balance was measured by Stork Balance newlineStand Test newline
