Abstract: Nicotine is one of the alkaloid toxic drugs which could lead to lung cancer and neurodegenerative illnesses in the human body after high exposure. Also, modern neuroscience research has discovered that cigarette addiction can harm the brain and nervous system. Among many chemical sensor strategies, 2D materials-based electrochemical sensors have received great attention for use in real-world technologies. Initially, the BN/graphene-based non-enzymatic electrochemical sensor was prepared. The electro-catalytic activity of the prepared electrochemical sensor was evaluated by electro-oxidation of nicotine. At first, BN incorporated with graphene was characterized by HR-TEM, FT-IR and XPS. The BN/graphene-based hybrid film modified electrode was used for the detection of nicotine (from 0.001 to 1 mM) in tobacco samples. The reliability of the sensor was successfully investigated newline
