Abstract: The aim of the research is to explore and enhance the quality of teaching learning process in higher education for professional courses. Here the researcher had proposed the role of knowledge-based system to fulfil the objectives of the research. The methodology of teaching and learning process describes the various types of techniques of teaching and learning which is applicable for teachers as well as students in the professional institutes. Variation in teaching and learning techniques and materials promotes the capabilities for developing better understanding of a subject. Simply teaching and applying the concepts and theory using lecture is ineffective. Now-a-days, enhancement in teaching has improved the quality which led to the adoption of quality improvement learning approaches in professional institutes. Via various teaching experiences in professional institutes have proven that Quality Assurance programs are based on knowledge base system technology. A knowledgebased system is the subset in which the knowledge is stored, using some method of representation, known as rules. These rules are formed by codifying the experience and knowledge of a expertise. The proposed knowledge based system is intended to supplement, but not replace, traditional teaching and learning techniques such as lectures and laboratory sessions. This knowledge base system will present the teaching and learning quality improvement for higher education in professional Courses. The present study will reveal out the teaching pedagogies which affect the quality and develop knowledge-based software for quality improvement and enhancement for higher education in professional institutions. The researcher has taken teaching and learning methods for quality parameters. The effectiveness of the teaching pedagogy in the professional courses will be found out by the researcher newline
