dc.description.abstractnewline In this study attempt was made to evaluate the Comparative efficacy of Guduchi Kwath and Cap.Platboost increase the platelet count in Dengue fever. newlineIn the current situation there is no known medicine which helps in the increase of the platelet count as far as modern system of medicine is concerned. There for there is need to explore the treasure of nature scientifically which will help the immune and hematological system of patient itself and avoid the risk of transfusions. Random Donor Platelet, Single Donor Platelet is expensive and may not be easily available. Also there known risks of transfusion. newlineThe objectives in this were to evaluate the term Dengue fever on the basis of the Ayurvedic concept and to study the efficacy of Guduchi Kwath in increasing the platelet count in dengue fever as a trial drug and Cap. Platboost control drug. The study was Randomized Single blind comparative clinical study. Materials and methodology In Ayurved, the success of chikitsa depends upon four important factors analogous to the four legs that support a table. They are termed as Chikitsa Chatushpad. Among the four factors of treatment, drug is second important factor after Physician. Thus, the selection of a proper drug in any disease management is very important. newlineWHO defines drug as, Any substance or product that is used or intended to be used to modify or explore physiological systems or pathological states for the benefit of the recipient
