Abstract: India is a country of villages. India has the youngest population in the world. Nearly two third population of India lives in villages and earn their livelihood from agricultural activities. Uttar Pradesh, the state of highest population in India has the population equivalent to the seventh biggest country in the world. Western Uttar Pradesh, the land of Lord Krishna is backward in economic terms despite its rich heritage and fertile soil. For the development of this area, rural entrepreneurship may be the best solution. Entrepreneurship in rural areas has ample scope and this field needs to be exploited, so that the rural youth are gainfully employed. For the development of India, rural economy must be developed. Western Uttar Pradesh has adequate opportunities for rural entrepreneurship and youths are ready with their innovative and entrepreneurial ideas to encash this opportunity. The Government has given importance and support for the promotion and growth of rural entrepreneurship. In this thesis, researcher analyses entrepreneurial environment in youth of rural areas of western Uttar Pradesh. Researcher tries to identify factors affecting rural entrepreneurial environment in youth of rural areas of western Uttar Pradesh and find the factors which motivate youth entrepreneurs to initiate start ups. The descriptive research design is made in the rural areas of western Uttar Pradesh. The study was conducted with five hundred youth entrepreneurs from rural areas of Aligarh and Mathura Districts. To examine the impact of entrepreneurial environment in youth of rural areas of western Uttar Pradesh, a null hypothesis had been framed which was rejected by ANOVA applied on data collected. Researcher identified four factors that have significant impact on rural entrepreneurial environment in youth of rural areas of western Uttar Pradesh, i.e. Technological factors, Psychological Factors, Economical, Social.
