dc.description.abstractBackground and objectives: BPH is a disorder,which leads to urinary symptoms newlineinElderly males, 90% of the males over 80 years of age have histological evidence newlineof BPH. Susruta mentioned Asteela as a type of Mutraghata. Owing to the newlinenumerous medical and surgical complications while treating the disease, an Ayurvedic approach using classical medicines in the management of BPH is required. This study was conducted as A Clinical study of a Dhanyak Gokshuradi Ghrita kshara Uttarabasti in the management of BPH. newlineMaterials and Methods:This study was conducted in the Parul Institute of newlineAyurveda,Limda, Vadodara, Based on the Inclusion and Exclusion criteria a total newlineof 100 patients were randomly selected with Standard drug i.e, Dhanyak gokshuradi Ghrita with Yavakshar. Assessment was made on subjective (Incomplete Emptying of Bladder, Frequency, Intermittency, Urgency, Weak newlineStream, Straining, Nocturia) and objective (Weight of Prostate, Post Void Urine and newlineUroflometry) parameters. Observations were made before treatment and after treatment. newlineResults: Assessment of USG Size, Residual Urine Volume, Uroflometry, Nocturia, Frequency, Urgency, Dribbling, Weak Stream, Straining, Nocturia and Weight of Prostate, Post Void Urine showed In present study 100 of patients having maximum improvement, and 99% patient had complete cure. newlineConclusion:The study showed that the trial drug was shown highly significant responseIn the treatment of BPH.
