Abstract: Kushtaroga is considered as one among the Mahagada.It is chirakari, vathapradhanatridosha predominance condition. It requires shodhana line of management newlineat the time of purvarupavastha only. Kotha, Udarda, and Sheetapitta, are described by all newlineBrihatrayee as signs and symptoms of many diseases. Multiple yogas are described in newlinevarious texts for the management of Sheetapitta.The trial drug is very low cost and also always easily everywhere. Trial drug is having Amapachaka, Agnideepaka, newlineVatanulomaka properties which will be sufficient to do the samprapthivighatana and give the maximum benefit to the health seeker. This study was intended to find out a costeffective solution for the management of sheetapitta.Trikatu, as per Bhaisajyaratnawali is a compound herbal formulation containing three tikta and katu rasa pradhana dravyas mixed together in equal quantities. Dried fruits of Piper nigrum (Maricha) and Piper longum (Pippali) and dried rhizomes of Zingiberofficinale (Sunthi) are used to prepare this miraculous formulation.Trikatu has also been shown in modern pharmacological research to increase the bioavailability of several phytoconstituents and synthetic medications when combined with them, assisting in the achievement of therapeutic aims. Trikatu has immunomodulatory, antiviral, expectorant, carminative, hypolipidemic, hypoglycemic, antiemetic, and anti-inflammatory properties. 50 subjects allotted in group Ahad been administered 12 gramsTrikatuChoorna with Sita with anupana of ushnajala twice daily before meals for 30 days.The group B had been given 12 gms of Haridrakhanda with ushnajalaanupanatwice daily for 30 days The follow up have been done for a total of 30 days at the interval of 15 days. Data was collected using case report form (CRF) designed by incorporating all aspects (Ayurveda and modern medicine) for the study. Data was tabulated and analysed using SPSS (Statistical package for social sciences) version 20 by using Friedman, Wilcoxon signed rank, Mann-Whitney, Chisquare, One way Anova test.
