The experiment was conducted to examine the effect of calcium and phosphorus supplementation on milk yield, compositional quality of milk and calcium and phosphorus level in blood of Gangatiri cows in different seasons. Sixteen lactating Gangatiri cows from livestock farm, SHUATS, Prayagraj (Allahabad) were categorized into 4 groups, T0, T1, T2 and T3 were supplementation of calcium and phosphorus in three seasons. All Gangatiri cows were housed in tail-to- tail barn under similar management conditions. All sanitary precautions were under-taken to produce pure milk by dry full-hand method of milking. Milk yield supplemented calcium and phosphorus in different seasons was determined by daily milk yield records of all animals. The experimental period was divided in different seasons of winter, summer and rainy. This research shows that winter and rainy season had significantly higher but had a non-significant milk yield effect of supplementation of calcium and phosphorus in the summer season. Content of milk fat percentage, protein, lactose, ash, total solids (T.S.), solid not fat (S.N.F.), water, acidity and specific gravity were examined. The results showed that fat percentage in winter season was significant but milk protein, lactose, ash, total solids (T.S.), solid not fat (S.N.F.), water, acidity and specific gravity were non-significant effect on supplementation of calcium and phosphorus. In rainy season fat, protein, total solids and water percentage of milk were significantly higher lactose, ash, solid not fat (S.N.F.), acidity and specific gravity were non-significant but in summer season there was no significant effect on supplementation of calcium and phosphorus. The blood samples were collected from Gangatiri cows from time to time in the winter, summer and rainy seasons. The Calcium and phosphorus level in blood were significant higher in summer season but in winter and rainy season were non-significant. newline newlineKeywords: Gangatiri cow, milk yield andmilk quality, season, calcium and phosphorus. newline newline
