dc.description.abstract | Safety at work is of great importance for every employee in the industry, because all employees want to work in a safe and protected environment. The aim of the study was to analyse the safety and welfare practices and the extent to which these practices are followed in pharmaceutical industries in Uttarakhand, know the socio- psychological and economic impact of safety and welfare practices on job satisfaction and the perception of employees towards the outcome of safety and welfare practices adopted in pharmaceutical industries in Uttarakhand. It was found that there is an impact of Workplace safety and Welfare Schemes on employees Job satisfaction .Further ,It was found that Employee Happiness and Attachment Safety culture and concentration towards job, Emotional Strength and Employee confidence, and Handling Greater Risk and Organizational Longitivity have significant in delivering job satisfaction among the employees. Test statistics also confirms that there is association of employee safety and welfare practices with employee performance and it is concluded that the safety and welfare practices in the organization have significant influence on employee work performance. Regression analysis was carried out to test the impact of job satisfaction on their work performance. It was found that job satisfaction moderately influence and have impact on work performance in the organization This research would be beneficial for pharmaceutical organizations, employees and Uttarakhand Government. Research would play an important role in providing knowledge to organizations about the needs and wants of workers in the workplace. Research will allow people in a given organization to know both what they get from the business and what they want. The research will also inform the government about how the workers were handled, what facilities they are receiving, as well as helpful decision-making and future plans. | |
