Abstract: | newline newline newlineThis work focuses on Modeling Energy Efficient Communication in Cognitive Wireless newlineSensor Network. The status of present wireless sensor networks and the challenges they newlineare facing with the increase in day to day wireless traffic have been observed while going newlinethrough the previous research work. The need for energy efficiency in the Cognitive Radio newlineWireless Sensor Network was observed so algorithms were developed considering newlineparameters like energy, delay, traffic and combination of all. Algorithm for delay newlineoptimized route selection in cognitive radio network was developed, algorithm for traffic, newlinebandwidth based route selection were developed. newlineThe proposed modification in routing layer protocol AODV has been discussed. The newlineproposed modification can be best understood in three steps. In the first phase or step newlinemodifications in AODV are done in terms of Energy and Delay. In the second phase newlinemodifications in AODV are done in terms of Traffic and Bandwidth. Then finally a newlinetradeoff between various parameters has been established. An algorithm for the proposed newlinemodifications has been developed for each phase. newlineThe work highlights the result obtained after the desired modifications. The results have newlinebeen obtained for different packet sizes and are compared with the existing system such newlineas energy consumption for existing system of 5 nodes and for a packet size of 256 was newline34.7 Joules and the result obtained for the proposed system is 27.3 Joules. |
