Abstract: | Work-life balance has become an important aspect of personnel working in organisations newlineespecially in the present socio-economic scenario where every individual wishes to live the life to newlineits fullest in terms satisfaction in both professional and personal life. Of late professional newlineorganisations have also realized its significance not only in attainting their goals but also in newlineenhancing their performance. Its importance has led to increased interests in the concept, newlinerequirements, practices and outcomes of work-life balance (WLB) especially in professional newlineorganisations (Nicklin et al., 2019; Chaudhuri, Arora and Roy, 2020). Both stakeholders newlineemployers and employees of a professional organization along with the academic world have newlineentered into an endless discourse over WLB and its importance in any professional organization. newline newlineWork-Life Balance can be defined as a situation where a professionally professional individual newlineeither gives equal attention to both the requirements of work and personal life or an individual newlineseeks to be in a situation where he/she is able to allocate equal weight so that the work newlinecommitments are met as well as the individual is able to fulfill the requirements of the personal newlinelife so as to live the life to its fullest or optimize the life. newline newlineBackground and Research Problem - The economic reforms in India in last three decades have newlinepaved the way for business friendly ecosystem leading to creation of highly competitive business newlineenvironment. Owing to high competition the companies have endeavored to attain superior performance newlinefrom their human resources and attract best of the talents to compete in the globally competitive newlinebusiness environment.
