Abstract: | Grid computing is a collection of computing resources that are newlinecollected from multiple administrative domains to reach a common goal It newlineenables users to solve complex problems by using distributed heterogeneous newlineresources It provides access to computing resources such as processors newlinestorage data and applications as needed with little or no knowledge of the newlinelocation of those resources or the underlying technologies Grids can be newlineconstructed with general purpose grid middleware software libraries A newlinecomputational grid aggregates the processing power from a distributed newlinecollection of resources newlineGrid scheduling is a thrust area of research since it affects the newlineoverall performance of the grid system In order to perform the scheduling newlineprocess, the grid scheduler has to be implemented Grid scheduler is a mediate newlineresource manager which acts as an interface between the consumers and the newlineunderlying resources newlineLoad balancing is a workload management system for distributing newlineworkloads across multiple computers or computer clusters network links and newlineother resources This feature must always be integrated into all grid systems newlinein order to minimize processing delays and over commitment of resources It newlinecan be built in connection with schedulers newline newline newline |
