Abstract: Concrete structures are usually non homogeneous and made of a variety of materials. It is important that these concrete structures should be sustainable, safe, serviceable and durable during its life time. During the construction of any concrete structure, vibration during casting plays a vital role. Improper vibration leads to production of low-quality concrete. Self compacting concrete evolved to overcome this problem in an easy way. Self compacting concrete is a very useful product when complex shapes and structural members with narrow bends and sharp corners are constructed, where it becomes difficult for normal concrete to reach all the corners and compact by vibration newline
