As of now, newlineIndian economy is one of the leading economies across the globe with an newlineexceptional demand volume for products whether FMCG or electronic segment. It newlinehas been realized that in recent times income of average citizen of India has risen to newlinea certain extent and thus disposable income as well. Indian consumer has got the newlinereputation of high purchasing power in the world. At present Indians are more newlinewillingly buying techno based products and DTH services are also not an newlineexception. Launching of INSAT-4A , has opened a door of opportunity for service newlineproviders in the segment of television broadcasting with a great speed and quality newlinedeliverance. Service delivery of DTH has become cheaper consequently it has newlinereached to numerous households. newlineDigital cable has the potential of adding new services and creating a newlinepremium positioning for it. The perceptions about cable and DTH, it is seen as the newlinesuperior technology and cable is ridden with poor technology. However, both will newlinecoexist, as DTH will hold advantage in the quality conscious market and cable will newlinehave an advantage in the price sensitive market. newline
