Abstract: This study explores the concept of the mediatization of politics in India newlinethrough coverage of election discussions (party politics, socio-political issues, among newlineother election news and updates) held in the media-politics society relationship. This newlineconcept of the mediatization of politics has emerged as the thrust area of the newlineinvestigation into contemporary media conducted the study using content analysis. newlineContent Analysis of news channels debates and programmes tends to indicate how newlineopinion is shaped in the context of political parties or political leaders rather than the newlineissues of various public interest. It also shows the shift in the role of media from newlineinforming, educating and awaring people to only doing sensationalism journalism. newlineThrough this media can only set agendas as per their convenience rather than newlinebecoming the voice of voiceless people in the society, which was its primary goal. newline
